Type BFDB bifurcated fan is designed according to EN 14986 and EN 13463‐1 standards. The product is certified for installation in Zone 1 and Zone 2 for gas environment, Zone 21 and Zone 22 for dust environment. It specially applies to Oil & Gas, Offshore Platform, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery and Marine Industries etc.

Type BFDB bifurcated fan has stainless steel or carbon steel material case fitted with stainless steel, aluminum or sheet molding compound (SMC) which is also called glass‐fiber reinforced polyester (GRP) material impeller. The fan is driven directly by an ATEX certified motor. The motor is installed and operated in a separate compartment where the air way is split and the motor is isolated from the system air stream. This protects the motor and makes it possible for the fan to handle with higher air temperatures.

Type BFDB bifurcated fan is used for the purpose of industrial ventilation, cooling and exhausting etc. especially in the atmospheres unfavorable to the life of the fan motor.
