DPCS Differential Pressure Control Switch is designed according to IEC/EN 60079-0, IEC/EN 60079- 1, and IEC/EN 60079-31 standards. This product can be used in Zone 1 and Zone 2 for explosive gas environment, Zone 21 and Zone 22 for explosive dust environment.

DPCS Differential Pressure Control Switch is often used to monitor the differential pressure of oil pumps in refrigeration compressors. The device consists of two separate parts. One is a mechanical screw-in unit. The other one is an electrical unit (the differential pressure control switch). The screw-in unit can be installed directed into the pump housing of the refrigeration compressors or into an installation block customized by Fonteck. The electrical unit (the differential pressure control switch) is screwed into the mechanical screw-in unit.

There are 4 DIP switches on the PCB installed to the back of the device’s cover. Users can choose alarm delay for 0S, 30S, 60S or 90S, and relay lock or unlock by setting up the DIP switches. It is worth mentioning that when the relay is set as “Lock”, the alarm status can only be reset by pushing the “Reset” button on the cover manually. The alarm status won’t be reset automatically or by re-energizing the device (power supply off, then power supply on) even if the differential pressure back to normal after the alarm. This function is designed to comply with related standard and protect the safety of the usage for explosion-proof products in hazardous area.

There are one LED status light, one digital LED display window and one stainless steel reset button on the cover of the device. Instead of traditional Red or Red and Green LED lights color, DPCS Differential Pressure Control Switch uses red and blue color. The two colors have good contrast. It looks more obvious when the LED lights flash and indicate different status or alarm of the device. The digital LED display window also helps indicate different status or alarm with more detailed data or information.
